How we handle information when you visit arlou, get in touch, or book a call.

1. Who we are

Arlou LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company operating as arlou. We are responsible for the personal information we handle through this website, enquiries, bookings, and our business relationship with you.

You can contact us about privacy at rouven@arlou.dev. When we process personal data on a client’s behalf during a project, our agreement with that client and any data processing agreement govern that processing, not this policy.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you provide: your name, email address, company, scheduling details, and the messages or project information you choose to share.
  • Payment and business records: billing contact details, invoices, transaction references, payment status, and correspondence when you purchase services or contact us about billing.
  • Technical information: our website and service providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the service.
  • Website visit information: our website tracker records the pages you view, your referrer, and your IP address, which may be used to identify the company you are visiting from.

Please do not include passwords, API keys, or sensitive personal information in booking forms or initial enquiries. We can agree on a suitable way to share information needed for a project.

3. How we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange calls, prepare requested plans and proposals, provide agreed services, manage payments and support, keep the website working, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on taking steps you request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in communicating with business contacts and operating a secure website, where those interests are not overridden by your rights. Where consent is required, we ask for it and you may withdraw it.

4. Bookings, payments & providers

We use providers for scheduling, payment processing, hosting, email, and other technical services. They receive information needed to provide those services.

  • Cal.com: our embedded scheduler processes booking details and technical information when it loads or you use it. Read Cal.com’s privacy policy.
  • Apollo.io: our website tracker collects visit information and uses your IP address to identify the company you may be visiting from. Read Apollo.io’s privacy policy.
  • Stripe: where payments are processed through Stripe, payment details are submitted to Stripe. We receive the billing and transaction information needed to administer the purchase; our website does not store your full card number. Read Stripe’s privacy policy.

Providers may also process information for their own legal, security, or other independently determined purposes, as explained in their policies. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies & analytics

This website uses Apollo.io’s website tracker to understand which companies visit and which pages they view. The tracker may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. If you visit from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, the tracker only loads after you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer. To make that work, the site sets a small cookie recording whether your region requires this choice, and stores your choice in your browser. The website does not use advertising pixels or session recording. Technical logs used for hosting, security, and troubleshooting are separate from the tracker.

Embedded and payment services may use their own cookies or similar technologies for their functionality and security. Their policies explain their practices. You can control cookies in your browser, including blocking the website tracker; blocking or deleting them may affect scheduling or payments.

The website does not currently change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. We do not use the website to track you across unrelated websites for targeted advertising. If we change our tracking practices, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.

6. Retention & security

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. The period depends on whether an enquiry becomes a project, the duration of our business relationship, applicable accounting and legal requirements, and any need to resolve disputes or prevent misuse.

We use reasonable measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You can contact us to request deletion; some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or legitimate business purposes permitted by law.

7. International processing

Arlou LLC is a US company. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply to our processing. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data.

8. Your choices & rights

Contact rouven@arlou.dev to ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to a copy of your data, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, or to complain to a privacy regulator.

We handle requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information. We will explain if a legal exception prevents us from fulfilling a request. If you receive promotional emails from us, you can opt out using the instructions in the message or by contacting us.

9. Children

This website is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.

10. Changes to this policy

We will publish updates on this page and change the effective date. For material changes, we will provide an additional notice on the website or contact you when appropriate, and obtain consent where required by law.
